The ultimate city break packing checklist is right here on today’s blog. Chances are you are heading off for just a few short days, so grab your favourite suitcase and stay a while for some valuable tips. I am going to convince you that less is more meaning a lighter luggage load.
There has been many an occasion that I have over packed and ended up dragging wardrobe items along on my travels that I did not actually use. For a cruise, this is fine as there is no baggage limit and once you board you are immediately on vacation. However, a city break although eventful and replenishing is probably not that relaxing because time is precious. So go all out and indulge in as many activities as you can without carrying unwanted weight around with you.
Let’s talk about the shoes! Can you just leave the heels at home for this one? High heeled shoes take up unnecessary space and who wants to conquer ancient gravel stone in heels anyway. If you really can’t live without the height then opt for some wedged trainers like the ones pictured on the mood board above. I have a black pair and they look fab teamed with black skinny jeans or a summer maxi dress for an evening.
So simple, if it rains then you have a cover-up for your hair. A baseball cap can compliment two looks in all weathers.
Dress them up or dress them down but either way, do not pack without taking a pair of jeans. Even if you only travel with them – take them. Personally, I like to explore by day in jeans and a light sweater and change into a dressy top in the evenings, adding jewellery and makeup to complete the look.
I have also put together a winter travel moodboard as I just love to create and put fashion pieces together. How amazing are the faux fur lined Doc Marten boots? And I just love a snood. The one featured is from John Lewis.
So let’s get into that packing list…
