If you are about to set sail with your family, then you are probably wondering, what do kids wear on a cruise?
If you like to dress smart then chances are, so do your kids. Here are a few outfit ideas of which attire could be suitable for a cruise. Remember that you can never be too glamorous, especially when you are on holiday.
If you would like your children to acclimatise to the warmer air then I suggest introducing sleeveless dresses or shirts before the temperature gets too hot. It is always sensible to cover shoulders from the sun’s rays and usually the further into a cruise itinerary you get, the hotter it gets. This blue dress is from the kid’s section at high street store H&M. It costs just a few pounds and is really light and comfortable.
This dress comes in two different designs and colours and lays just above the knee.
I always pack at least two all in one trouser suits. The blue suit featured is from Monsoon and is really casual but pretty. Jumpsuits are usually lightweight and good for holding swimwear underneath. Looks city chic teamed with a sun hat.
What do kids wear on a cruise when it is time to disembark the ship at a port of call? Something comfy for exploring, a lightweight jacket and a good pair of walking shoes. Sandals with support and a soft insole will protect children’s feet and stop aches and pains. It is a great tip to have your child’s feet measured a few weeks before setting off on holiday. Finding the right walking shoe will save valuable time and unnecessary discomfort.
Pack princess dresses, pack tutus, pack frocks. Dress your best as a cruise holiday really is a magnificent experience and a time for your kids to socialise and express themselves. Remember on a no-fly cruise that there is no baggage limit, perfect for those of us who are partial to a pretty outfit or two!
