We are pretty much spending the summer sleeping under the stars, but hoping for some drier weather first. Whatever fashion choices your children are into, you must read on to find out how we accessorised this kids festival jacket.
Our main reason for wanting a kids festival jacket is because we are attending camp Bestival this year and the theme is pop stars and rockstars. Denim attire seemed to check all the boxes for kids cool, laidback style and luckily I found this denim jacket from Primark. It is aged 5-6 years and cost £10. The badges attached are pins that I have been collecting for a few weeks now and thought that they would be much easier than a sewing option.

I adore the lace detail on the front of the jacket and think it gives the denim a cute girly touch. My Daughter gathered her badges and arranged them over the jacket before pinning them on. The badges were collected from Marks and Spencer, as well as Primark and were all half price. I aimed to buy the badges with a roller hook back to prevent them from coming undone easily. My Daughter is still only Five and we want to avoid any accidents whilst we are away!
You can purchase pin badges from lots of online stores such as boohoo. Not on the high street have some really cool designs too. If I had of been more prepared then I would have gone ahead and purchased a badge making kit from the game section at Argos.
Denim appeals to me as the material is durable, warm and does not show dirt easily. I feel as if my daughter will be wearing her new designed kids festival jacket throughout the summer months. The denim coat will be slung over hooks, wiped free from sauces, draped over tyre swings and left unattended on numerous occasions. The sign of a great summer I would say.
Peace out x
