One of the arguments made by sceptics against eliminating the use of fossil fuel is that renewable energy sources are not enough to power the needs of all people. These small countries have proven that it can be done. They have completely switched to renewable energy sources and let go of fossil fuels.
There are those who will argue that these small countries only have a population of a few thousand. Denmark can prove these sceptics wrong. With a population of over 6 million, they have managed to move towards renewable energy.
They even have excess to sell to their neighbouring countries. It is a proof that if the government is serious in doing their job and will invest more in clean energy, it can be done. Fossil fuels are a limited source. We have been using them for centuries now. They are going to be depleted in the near future.
This is why we have to start harnessing our natural resources. Wind, sun and water are limitless sources. They have huge potentials to produce energy. There are a lot of studies dedicated in getting power from these sources.
The governments around the world have to come together and support this research instead of promoting the use of fossil fuels.
The infographic below lists the 7 countries that have bid farewell to fossil fuels. They have done a great job. Other countries can do the same. When everyone in the country calls for the same thing, changes can happen.
