A family pool holiday with kids can be really rewarding for everyone during the summer months. Kids can cool off and play safely under the watchful eye of an adult. sipping on something cool whilst letting our little ones burn off tons of energy is a win win.
Pool Holiday – Lopesan Baobab Resort, Las Palmas
When we holiday, we holiday and we holiday well. Last year in 2016 we headed off for some Easter sun to the five-star resort of Lopesan Baobab. We simply wanted two things from our holiday and in no specific order, those two things were relaxation and entertainment for our Daughter this being in the form of day time activities and nightly discos.
Lopesan Baobab is a five-star family friendly hotel that boasts seven… yes seven swimming pools. Each pool has its own personality and even caters for different age ranges. Beyond the pool’s we found that strolling around the hotel grounds after an evening meal was a great way to wind down our day.
The pools look stunning at sunset with their backlights, mood lighting and the various tropical plants surrounding the water.
Most of the pools are suitable for children but there is a designated play pool for families. It is behind a safe and secure locked gate and there are sun loungers available for the adults. A waiter will visit regularly with a fresh glass of wine for Mum and a cool cup of orange juice for the children. There is a small baby pool and then one slightly bigger pool with a water slide.
It is possibly only knee length deep to a toddler but I still put our Daughter in there wearing her swim floats.
Pool bar dining
During one of our many times floating along the lazy river we spotted a beautifully styled restaurant in the center of the main pool area. Very convenient to be able to slip a dress over our swimwear and sit by the pool to enjoy a really good quality lunch. The food was amazing and the ambience very relaxing. By far the best eatery on the resort with food freshly cooked to order.
Honeymoon suite at the Lopesan Baobab, Gran Canaria
Just recently married, we opted to spend the first few days of our holiday in the Honeymoon suite. We even had our own infinity pool there too. Check out a full review over on my lifestyle blog.. The view was fine and we were facing their sister hotel which we had full use of pools there also. Again, the gardens were simply stunning with cobbled scent filled walkways and colorful verandas. The rooms this side of the hotel are located above a set of trendy bars and restaurants. Although we were treated to great music during the day, it was a little too loud for a family at night. Great for couple’s though.
